Conference on RRI in the Health Industry, Brussels, 18-19 May 2017

The EU project Responsible-Industry co-organizes in collaboration with the European Economic and Social Committee and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology a conference

“Responsible Research and Innovation in the Health Industry”

to be held at the EESC premises, in Brussels, on 18 and 19 May 2017.

The conference will discuss how RRI can help to boost innovation in biomedicine and health with a special focus on ICT. It will ask how social values and needs can be “integrated from scratch” and which drivers and obstacles RRI encounters when implemented in companies.

Bernd Carsten Stahl is Professor of Critical Research in Technology and Director the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. His interests cover philosophical issues arising from the intersections of business, technology, and information. This includes ethical questions of current and emerging of ICTs, critical approaches to information systems and issues related to responsible research and innovation.
