ORBIT delivers Responsible Research and Innovation for Quantum Technologies workshop for QUSTEC

Martin de Heaver and Philip Inglesant of ORBIT delivered a workshop on Responsible Research & Innovation for Quantum technologies to 40 doctoral candidates for QUSTEC, Quantum Science and Technologies at the European Campus.

The workshop included case studies of RRI for quantum computing & sensing technologies and the application of the various RRI frameworks to ICT research projects.

QUSTEC aims to address some of the grand challenges in Quantum Science today: The principles of quantum mechanics, which govern physics, chemistry, material science and computing at the atomic scale have already led to a wave of new technologies. In new applications, quantum technologies provide a massive leap that can be a decisive factor for many European industries and markets in the 21st century.
